“Beans!” Irish version of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theater. At Brownlee Woods Branch of Youngstown Library, 4010 Sheridan Road. Auditions are 4-5:30 p.m. June 15 and 16. MUSICIANS

Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2008-09 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 Thursdays at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice.
