‘Stomp’ will return
PITTSBURGH — “Stomp,” the unique percussion-based stage show, will return to Benedum Center from Sept. 15-20. The show has been updated with new routines and props.
“Stomp” makes rhythmic music with everyday items and with an eccentric sense of humor. One new piece utilizes a tractor tire innertubes worn around the waist on a bungee cord.

River museum to open
WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville River Museum, 1003 Riverside Ave., will open for the season Sunday. Hours are 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Sunday through August. Located in an 1870 Victorian home, the museum contains artifacts pertaining to the more than 150 years of Wellsville history, including railroad, river boats and pottery manufacturing.
This year’s displays include ’40s and ’50s clothing, Confederate Gen. John H. Morgan’s sword and Pretty Boy Floyd’s death mask.
Each of the three-story structure’s 11 rooms has a different theme, from Civil War to railroad items. There is also a country store, firehouse and restored caboose.
Programs planned for this summer are World War II living history, June 13 and 14; Wayne Cole on the history of streetcars and buses, July 12; Bob Lloyd and Frank Delanzo, PowerPoint program on railroads, Aug. 2; and Jeff Weekley, on the history of Wellsville schools, Aug. 16. Conneaut posters
CONNEAUT LAKE, Pa. — The Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park are selling 13-by-19-inch color posters of the park for $6.
Proceeds will go toward the upkeep and preservation of the 117-year-old amusement park that opened this year after being dark the last two.

Make-A-Wish event
HOWLAND — Up a Creek Bar & Grille, 4793 E. Market St., is teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the wish of a local child who is battling a life-threatening medical condition.
The bar will have a fundraiser from 8-11 p.m. Wednesday with Tom Watt and the Fruit Cakes, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band. Two tickets to Buffett’s June 23 concert in Pittsburgh will be raffled.
