Wharmby wins two makeup games

STRUTHERS — Wharmby Sports used an 18-hit attack to defeat Livi Steel, 17-0, in a Class B League game on Tuesday night at Cene Park.

Mike Tomko had four hits and drove home four while Evan Anzio and Jordan Diana had three hits each for Wharmby (4-2). Dom DeFelice tossed three innings of two-hit relief for the win.

Wharmby Sports 2, Yo. Express 1

A two-out double by David Saluga scored Mike Tomko — who had tripled — with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning for Wharmby.

Tomko went 52‚Ñ3 innings, allowing one run with four strikeouts. John Price got the win in relief as he retired all four batters he faced. Jon DeAmicis (0-2) allowed one earned run and struck out three. Dustin Corso had two hits for the Express.

Livi Steel 13, Dave Sugar 3

NILES — Steven Richards had three hits, two of them doubles, while Mike Livi and Nick Harper added three hits each for Livi (2-4) on Monday night.

Ed Rovnak tossed a complete game allowing two earned runs. Nick Crum had a single and a double for Dave Sugar (2-4)

OTN Performance 11, Yo. Express 5

STRUTHERS — OTN Performance won for the fifth time in seven starts. Gary Revale had three singles and as many runs batted in for OTN while Evan Bollinger and Wade Daniels had two RBIs each. Gary Yemma tossed three scoreless innings for the win while Zac Anderson tossed the final three innings for save.

Mike Rohan had a single and a double for the Express.

Wharmby Sports 6, Rondinelli Tuxedo 3

STRUTHERS — Wharmby Sports scored three times in the bottom of the third and fourth innings. David Saluga had a single and started the three-run fourth with a triple, while Dom DeFelice also had a triple in the fourth, driving home a run. Ryan Ward went six plus innings for the win, allowing just four hits with a pair of strikeouts. Josh Foster picked up the save.

Jason Bagoly hit a three run home run for Rondinelli (4-2).

Warren AA

The Trumbull Merchants continued their its winning streak with a 4-2 victory over Cleats Club Seat Grille.

Derek Stanton was 3-for-3 with a triple, double, and two RBIs. Cedric Haynes was 2-for-3 with a double and pitcher Anthony Ragozine threw all seven innings for the win.

Champion Marlins 3, Knights 2

Marty Brinker pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits, for the Marlins. Shaun Pelo led the winners with a double.

Rick DiMuzio hit a double and drove in both runs for the Knights. Justin Street and Andy Todor also hit two-baggers.
