Cole-Canning wedding plans are announced

Mary Beth Cole, of 7851 Gardendale St. SE, Downey Calif., and William Canning, of 2604 Sunset Drive NE, Atlanta, are engaged, their parents announce.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sally and Don Cole, of 1425 Maple Drive NW, Cullman, Ala.; and the prospective groom is the son of Diane and Fred Canning, 424 Glacierview Drive, Youngstown.

St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Cullman will be the site of the couple’s 4 p.m. wedding on June 27. A reception in the church hall will follow the ceremony. Both events are by invitation.

Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., is where Miss Cole earned a bachelor’s degree in math. She received a master’s degree in math from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and a master’s in education from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She is a calculus and trigonometry teacher at St. Matthias High School in Los Angeles.

Mr. Canning earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a master’s in education from the University of Notre Dame. He is an English teacher at St. John the Evangelist School in Atlanta.
