Car cruise set for Thursday in Warren

WARREN — A downtown car cruise is coming to Warren beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Buff-N-Stuff parking lot, 554 E. Market St. near the Sunrise Inn. The cruise will continue from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 27.

A car cruise is the same as a car show except that it continues every week, said Tom Moffett of Warren, who is running the event. It will feature food, drinks, music, door prizes every 30 minutes and trophies.

Moffett said he expects around 50 to 60 cars to be shown the first few weeks and up to 100 as the weather improves.

Moffett said there are several similar car cruises in the area, such as Lordstown, Cortland and Niles, but this is the only one in Warren.

Entry fee to show a car is $2, but admission is free to the public.
