NHS class meeting

Holistic Moms Network to host autism event

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Chapter of Holistic Moms Network will host an autism event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Atty. Susan Maruca will share her story about living with and loving her autistic daughter, and representatives from the Rich Center at Youngstown State University will be in attendance.

HandsOn Volunteers plan annual golf scramble

VIENNA — HandsOn Volunteer Network will have its annual Golf Scramble on Aug. 24 at the Avalon Golf and Country Club, Squaw Creek Facility, 761 Youngstown-Kingsville Road.

Registration begins at 11 a.m., lunch/driving range at 11:30 a.m., shotgun start at 1 p.m., and awards reception/cash bar at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served on the course.

The cost is $500 per foursome, and includes golf, lunch, driving range, locker room, hors d’oeuvres and cash bar after golf.
