Hogans, wife reach divorce settlement

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Hulk Hogan and his wife have finally reached a settlement in their divorce case.

The 55-year-old celebrity wrestler — whose real name is Terry Bollea — said in court Tuesday morning that he and his wife, Linda, have agreed to the terms of the split. The divorce was finalized during a brief hearing.

Both say they want to put aside months of bitterness and get on with their lives. They and their attorneys had publicly clashed over everything from money to Linda Bollea’s allowing her boyfriend to drive the couple’s vehicles.

Linda Bollea said after the hearing that “the war is over.”

The terms were not made public. In 2008 court filings, the couple’s net worth was listed at between $26 million and $32 million.

Hollywood taking action against The Pirate Bay

STOCKHOLM — A dozen Hollywood production companies have filed a new lawsuit against file-sharing Web site The Pirate Bay.

Columbia Pictures, Disney Enterprises, Universal Studios and 10 others are demanding the site’s operators be fined and prevented from distributing TV-series including “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives” and films such as “Batman.”

The Pirate Bay has remained in operation despite guilty verdicts in a copyright trial in Sweden earlier this year against the site’s operators, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde and Fredrik Neij. Carl Lundstrom, who financed the site, was also convicted in that case.

All were sentenced to one year in prison and ordered to pay a combined $4.1 million in damages.

Sony Music Nashville, Gretchen Wilson part ways

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — “Redneck Woman” Gretchen Wilson and her longtime record label, Sony Music Nashville, have parted.

Sony announced the split Tuesday, describing it as a mutual decision.

Wilson shot to fame with her 2004 smash “Redneck Woman.” Her debut album, “Here For the Party,” sold 5 million copies.

Her next two albums for Sony — 2005’s “All Jacked Up” and 2007’s “One of the Boys” — reached No. 1 but didn’t sell nearly as well as her debut and produced only one Top 10 single between them.

Sony says in a statement that although Wilson will no longer record for the label as a solo artist, both parties look forward to working together on catalog projects.

Wilson was not immediately available to comment.
