U.S. Route 224 restrictions in Boardman begin Wednesday

BOARDMAN — Beginning at 5 a.m. Wednesday, various intersections on U.S. Route 224 between West and Tiffany boulevards will be maintained by flaggers while traffic signals are replaced. This condition will remain until 4 p.m. Friday.

The work is part of a $5.2 million project to widen Route 224 through the addition of right turn lanes from Boardman Park Drive to just west of South Avenue.

The project also includes improvements to 15 traffic signals from Parkside Drive to Tiffany. The entire project by the Ohio Department of Transportation is scheduled to be complete by late October.
