St. Vincent de Paul plans tamburitza show

BOARDMAN — St. Vincent de Paul Society, Youngstown District Council, plans a fundraising show to take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Boardman High School Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave., Boardman.

The Duquesne University Tamburitzans will present the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring cultures.

Consider a purchase of a $20 ticket as a contribution to help feed the needy of the Valley. In the past year, the society has fed 73,000 and also has a pantry that provides a box of food to sustain a family for at least a week. Average is 15 boxes daily.

The kitchen is located at 208 W. Front St., and the pantry is at 343 Via Mount Carmel, both in Youngstown.

Parishioners can purchase tickets from any St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference member. Tickets for the general public will go on sale in September.
