YOUNGSTOWN — Geo’s Music will reopen at its original location at 102 W. Federal St., downtown. The first day of business will be Aug. 3.

The CD, music and memorabilia shop closed in May 2008.

At that time, owner George Case took over operation of the Boxcar Lounge in the B&O Station complex. The Boxcar closed in the spring.

Geo’s Music customers should expect the same level of service that the store offered before it closed, said Case.

“I plan on running the store as I did before, with lots of hard-to-find music,” said Case. “I am still able to order most anything requested. I will still have CDs, DVDs, and the largest collection of vinyl albums in the area.”

Case is also known for his band, Geo C and Tha Storm, a popular local funk-dance band.
