Family, friends join to celebrate for Higginses' 50th

STRUTHERS — Mr. and Mrs. Bill Higgins of Struthers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a small gathering of family and friends on July 10 at the Sulmona Valley Club.

Married on June 27, 1959, at St. Nicholas Church, of which they are members, Bill and Peggy have four children, all of whom hosted the event.

The couple and their children, Kim Eggleston of Woodstock, Ga., Bill Higgins of Struthers, Bryan and Michele Higgins of Poland, and Mike and Jeanette Higgins of St. Johns Creek, Ga., and seven grandchildren, Megan Eggleston, and Lorrin, Bryan Jr., Will, Jason, Robby and Lucy Higgins, were to enjoy a trip to Big Canoe, Ga., this month as a continuation of their celebration.

Mr. Higgins retired from McCrudden Heating and Cooling Supply in 2000. Mrs. Higgins retired from the Struthers Board of Education Central Office in 2003.
