YOUNGSTOWN — Sacred Heart of Jesus Church was the setting at 11:30 a.m. May 9 as Candice Elizabeth Lawson, 106 Pin Oak Place, Campbell, and John Edward Metzinger, 1675 W. Western Reserve Road, Poland, exchanged vows. The Revs. Charles Poore and Tom Elsweirth officiated.

The daughter of Nancy Lawson of the Campbell address and the late William Lawson, and the son of Pam and Joseph Metzinger, 2676 Rosewae Drive, accepted congratulations during a reception at the Butler Institute of American Art.

The bride wore a white silk gown with a sweetheart neckline and pickup skirt, and her mother’s veil.

Pistachio-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant Kim Root, and the bridesmaids, Michelle Metzinger, Michelle Warchol, Regina Iacovone, Amanda Eskines and Nicole Mazzoleni. Flower girls were Sydney and Sabrina Metzinger.

Dan Metzinger was best man, and groomsmen were Phil Metzinger, Chris Bellino, Tom Eich, Aaron Lough and Maxx Guerrieri.

The bride, an account executive with IDMI in Poland, is pursuing a degree in business management at Strayer University in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The groom, an assistant golf professional with Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield, earned an associate degree in business from Youngstown State University, where he is completing the PGA of America Professional Golf Management Program.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple live on North Cadillac Drive in Boardman.
