HUBBARD — Ankle & Foot Care Centers, operators of 20 local foot care offices, plan the 11th Annual American Diabetes Association Golf Benefit, a four-person scramble set for Aug. 14 at Pine Lakes Golf Course.

The tournament raises money for diabetes research through Ankle & Foot Care Centers and the Tri-County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

A shotgun start is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. after a sign-in at 10:30. The $80 fee per golfer includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, beverages on the course, dinner at the pavilion and awards.

The deadline to register is Aug. 7, and golfers can do so by calling Michael Vallas at the foot care centers at (330) 629-8800.

The golf benefit, organized by Dr. Michelle Anania, has been sponsored by the centers since 1999 and last year raised more than $13,000 for the local ADA chapter.
