New Salvation Army coordinators named


YOUNGSTOWN — Captains Charles and Beth Foster have been named Mahoning County area services coordinators for the Salvation Army. Their appointment was made July 1. The Fosters will work out of the Salvation Army site at 1501 Glenwood Ave.

Their last appointment was in Rochester, N.Y., where he was administrator and she was director of program and special services at the Adult Rehabilitation Center for Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

They have served at seven locations in New York and Pennsylvania with the Salvation Army since 1996.

Charles Foster has a retail management background and was a training and district manager for a national retail chain. Beth Foster has a corporate background in office management and bookkeeping.

Majors James and Sue Foley, previous coordinators, were reassigned to Cleveland.

The Mahoning County Salvation Army serves between 200 and 400 meals a daily Monday through Friday, distributes groceries, sponsors programs for children and seniors and offers a Dress for Success program.
