Man pleads innocent to robbery
STAFF REPORT
WARREN — A 29-year-old Bradford Street Northwest man has pleaded innocent to aggravated robbery after police said he walked into the CVS Pharmacy, 620 E. Market St., Sunday evening and used a gun to rob the store of a bag full of drugs.
Chadd A. Karr entered the plea Friday in Warren Municipal Court. A judge set bond at $25,000 and set a preliminary hearing for 10:15 a.m. Thursday.
Police arrested Karr on Thursday at his home on Bradford Street after detectives identified him from the pharmacy’s surveillance video, Detective Mike Stabile said.
A police report said the pharmacy was robbed about 8:36 p.m. by a man wearing a black hoodie with gold lettering. The hoodie covered most of his face.
The man walked to the pharmacy counter, demanded all the Percocets in the store, showed the employee a gun in the center pouch of his hoodie and said, “Don’t call the cops. Don’t hit the panic button. Just give it to me or I’ll blow your head off,” police said.
A pharmacist put 1,080 of the tablets in a bag, and the man ran out the door and got into a maroon vehicle and fled.
If convicted on the charge, Karr could get up to 10 years in prison.
