SEATTLE (AP) — Asdrubal Cabrera homered, drove in two runs and scored three times to back a strong start by Jeremy Sowers in the Cleveland Indians’ 10-3 victory over Seattle Mariners on Saturday.
Sowers (3-7) held the Mariners scoreless over seven innings, allowing only four hits in his best outing of the season.
Erik Bedard (5-3) endured his shortest start of the season for the Mariners. The left-hander went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks. It was his shortest outing since going three innings against Atlanta on June 20, 2008, two starts before landing on the disabled list for the rest of the year.
