A story in Friday’s Vindicator under the headline “Salaried Packard retirees express betrayal over transfer of pensions” said the amount of pension Violet Jasinski of Howland might get if the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. takes over her pension — around $2,200 per month — is half of what she receives now. Jasinski said $2,200 is probably on the “high end” of what she might get and is only a little less than what she receives now.
