Struthers church will be setting of Berlin-Barber rite

The engagement of Melissa M. Berlin and Dale M. Barber Jr., both of 70 W. Lewis Ave., Struthers, is being announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Russell and Yvonne Berlin, 600 Creekside Drive, Hubbard. Mr. Barber is a son of Dale and Virginia Barber, 991 Garfield St., Struthers.

The couple have chosen Sept. 18 for their open wedding to take place at 4 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.

Invitations will be extended for a reception to follow that evening at The Embassy in Youngstown.

Miss Berlin holds an associate degree in applied science from Youngstown State University and is a medical lab technologist at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Her fianc is pursuing a degree in electrical engineering through an apprenticeship with IBEW Local 64 in Youngstown. He is employed as a commercial industrial electrician with Dickey Electric in North Lima. He also is a student at Jefferson College.
