Kelly Clarkson coming to Covelli Centre in Oct.


Pop star Kelly Clarkson will perform in concert at Youngstown’s Covelli Centre on Oct. 17. Neither tcket prices nor the on-sale date have been determined yet, according to Covelli Centre spokesperson Bridget Wolsonovich.

The Youngstown show is part of Clarkson’s All I Ever Wanted tour this fall. Joining Clarkson as opening acts will be Australian sister duo The Veronicas and rising band Parachute.

The tour kicks off in Uncasville, Conn., Oct. 2 and concludes in Hollywood, Fla., Dec. 13, covering 32 cities in the United States and Canada.

Clarkson, who got her start in 2002 on “American Idol,” has sold more than 20 million albums. Her current release, “All I Ever Wanted,” shattered Billboard records when the single “My Life Would Suck Without You” jumped from No. 97 to No. 1 in its first week of release.

The Veronicas, who delivered five top 10 singles in Australia on their debut album, have now earned platinum record success with the electro-rock CD “Untouched.” Parachute’s current single “She Is Love” continues to climb both Hot adult contemporary and Top 40 charts.
