June home sale prices drop in Trumbull County

The average selling price last month for homes in Trumbull County lagged well behind last year’s pace.

The average sales price last month in Trumbull County was $73,490, which was 23 percent below the average price of $95,904 in June 2008.

Sales were up in Trumbull County, however. There were 148 home sale closings last month, compared with 132 in the same month of last year.

Mahoning County had 174 home sale closings last month, down slightly from the 181 recorded in June 2008.

Prices were stable in Mahoning County. The average sale price last month was $92,047, compared with $93,148 in June 2008.

Columbiana saw closings drop to 52 last month from 80 in June 2008. The average sales price was $92,832, compared with $90,724 a year earlier.
