Forum reaches tentative pacts with nurses and service workers’ unions

YOUNGSTOWN — The Forum Health Board of Trustees today ratified tentative agreements with the Ohio Nurses Association /Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association and the Service Employees International Union District 1199, which represent employees at Northside Medical Center.

SEIU has scheduled a ratification vote for Friday and the nurses are scheduled to vote on the contract Monday.

If both agreements are finalized, Forum Health will have negotiated new contracts with all nine unionized employee groups within the system. All of the agreements contain cost savings that are key to Forum’s reorganization efforts, hospital officials said.
