CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — Jamaica was the honeymoon destination of Michael John Sledd and his bride, the former Makenzie Alyse Brockmeyer, both of 59th St., St. Louis, following their June 20 wedding at King of Kings Lutheran Church and reception at Orlando’s in St. Louis.

The Rev. Douglas Chinberg officiated at the 4 p.m. wedding for the daughter of Carol Brockmeyer of Edwardsville, Ill., and Steve Brockmeyer of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and the son of John and Cornelia Sledd, 3403 42nd St., Austintown.

The bride’s ivory gown was designed with a V-neckline and enhanced with beading on the bodice and train.

The bride’s sister and honor attendant, Larissa Brockmeyer, wore a navy blue gown, as did the bridesmaids, Janelle Nyman; Sarah Wilmouth, a sister of the groom; and Shawn Epstein. Flower girl was Lillian Dilts.

Serving as best man was Casey Croysdale, and groomsmen were Josh Moehle, Dan Helmcamp and Mike Rolfsmeyer. Ring bearer was the bride’s cousin Isaac Ackerman. Ushers were her cousins Grant Adams and Drew Talbert.

Mrs. Sledd graduated from St. Louis University with a master’s degree in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.

Mr. Sledd is a physical therapist with Pro Rehab in St. Louis. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and graduated from St. Louis University with a master’s in physical therapy.
