Firefighters to fill boot and benefit MDA

YOUNGSTOWN — Beginning Thursday and continuing into the weekend, four local Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighter unions from Mahoning and Trumbull Counties will take to the streets to fight neuromuscular disease and fill the boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Austintown Local 3356 members will hang out at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd., from 4-6 p.m. Thursday; Canfield Local 4507 will stand at Inner Circle Pizza, 6579 Ironwood Blvd., from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday; Boardman Local 1176 will stand on Tippecanoe at Route 224 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and Howland Local 2786 will stand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the intersection of Niles Cortland Road SE and Mall Boulevard on Saturday.
