YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown YMCA has hired Greg Kleeh to be its financial-development and human-resources officer and to head-up special projects.

This is a newly created position. Typically, YMCA organizations as large as Youngstown’s have several staff people doing the work Kleeh will do, said Ken Rudge, Youngstown YMCA president and chief executive officer.

Rudge said he had more than simple frugality on his mind when creating the position.

“We needed to find just the right person. I wanted someone who would be true to our mission, who had financial expertise and who could do several jobs at once. We found the right person in Greg,” Rudge said in a press release Monday.

Chief among Kleeh’s many jobs will be maintaining and growing both donor and grant revenue within the Y system, money that makes Y equipment and programs available to all regardless of ability to pay, Rudge said.

Kleeh is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in financial planning, budget development, human resources and payroll. In addition, he is a former treasurer and member of the Youngstown YMCA Board of Trustees and was a member of the Cincinnati YMCA board before that.

He is the married father of 14-year-old twins and a resident of Canfield.

The Youngstown YMCA consists of the Central Branch in downtown Youngstown, the Davis Family Branch in Boardman and Camp Fitch in North Springfield, Pa.
