Villa Maria residents create memory baskets
ALLIANCE — The staff and residents of Villa Maria, 122 E. College St., are inviting the public to contribute to their Arts for Alzheimer’s program by donating items for memory baskets for people with dementia.
Accepted for the program will be such items as kitchen tools, old trophies, jewelry, fishing equipment, toys or other nostalgic articles and gadgets that can be used to evoke memories.
Villa Maria Arts for Alzheimer’s will operate a booth on Aug. 2 during the Mount Union College Art on the Lake event. Those visiting the booth can use recycled items to create their own one-of-a-kind garden sculptures or memory baskets.
