Pa. man charged in fake bomb scare at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities have charged a Pennsylvania man who they say left a fake bomb under his car at an Ohio amusement park.

The device that turned out to be harmless caused a brief scare last Friday at Cedar Point here.

Police blocked off the parking lot and a bomb squad destroyed the device.

Kelly Albrecht of Cranberry Township, Pa., is charged with inducing panic. Police arrested him when he returned to his car after visiting the amusement park.

Park officials and police wouldn’t say what led them to the arrest.

Albrecht is due in court next week.
