COLUMBIANA — The wedding of Corey Mowen of Columbiana and Gina Marinelli of Ellsworth took place at 5 p.m. May 9 at the Historic Harvey S. Firestone Barn at The Links at Firestone Farms.

The daughter of Veronica McLaughlin of Austintown and Ronald Marinelli Sr. of Youngstown and son of Deb Smith of Farwell, Mich., and Roger Mowen of Columbiana exchanged vows before the Rev. Ron Chick, and a reception followed at The Links.

The bride’s white A-line gown was designed with a halter-style neckline embellished with glass beads, sequins and metallic embroidery. The ruched skirt featured pickup details and a chapel train.

Amanda McLaughlin, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Carrine Essenwein, Marisa Johnson and Octavia Smith. They wore pool-colored gowns with black sashes. Flower girl was Haley Mowen, the groom’s niece.

The groom’s brother, Roger Mowen II, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Lance Grimes and Jason Long. Geno Marinelli, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer.

Mrs. Mowen earned degrees in biology, psychology and criminal justice at Youngstown State University and is employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Austintown.

Her husband is studying electrical technology at New Castle School of Trades.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
