3 men charged in abduction

YOUNGSTOWN — Three men accused of detaining a man against his will in a convenience store have been arraigned on felony charges. They are: Musa Alhamid, 47, of Orlo Lane, Boardman; Ali Allawanseh, 23, of Kendis Circle; and Raed Alhamamed, 39, of Colonial Drive, Liberty.

They appeared today via video for arraignment before Magistrate Anthony Sertick of Youngstown Municipal Court on abduction charges. Bond was set at $10,000 for each man.

Police were called to Petra Food Mart, Elm Street, around 2 p.m. Saturday. An officer found the door locked with four men inside. One of the men unlocked the door to let the officer in.

The victim told police he had been held in the store against his will and that the other three had threatened to beat him.

The men told the officer they believed the man is one of two people who broke into their store earlier in the week. They said they were unaware that the door was locked, they didn’t threaten the man, and they only wanted him to tell them the identity of the other person who broke into the store.
