SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

Special to The Vindicator PRESENTATION: Mended Hearts, Chapter 7, a support group for heart survivors and their families, conducts holiday nut sales annually to raise funds for scholarships for nursing/medical students at Youngstown State University and at St. Elizabeth Health Center’s Mercy College. During the recent Humility of Mary Health Partners Development Foundation Nursing Awards Luncheon, Bill Zavarello, president of the chapter, at left, presented $1,000 nursing scholarships to Brandon Dutton and Shannon Rae Bergana, Mercy College students. The chapter also makes contributions to the endowment fund of Camp Mountain Heart in Ripley, W.Va.
