Mr. and Mrs. Albert Darby honored during an anniversary party at cottage

AUSTINTOWN — Family members and other invited guests honored Mr. and Mrs. Albert Darby, 949 N. Four Mile Run Road, as they observed the 50th anniversary of their July 14, 1959, wedding.

They accepted congratulations during a party from 4 to 8 p.m. July 18 at the family cottage in Lake Milton.

Hosts for the celebration were their children and their spouses, Allen Darby, Shari and Scott Shaffer and David and Stephany Darby, all of Austintown; and their granddaughter April (Thomas) McGahagan. Completing the family circle are six other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Darby is retired after having been employed in the cafeteria with Austintown Local Schools. Mr. Darby was employed on the assembly line at General Motors prior to retiring. They are members of Ohltown United Methodist Church.
