Glucks honored at dinner party for anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gluck
BOARDMAN — Family and friends congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gluck, 606 Chestnut Lane, as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party at 6 p.m. June 20 at the Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown.
Hosts for the festivity were the couple’s sons and daughter-in-law, Randy Gluck of Canton and Gary and Dana Gluck of Milford. Completing the family circle are two grandchildren, Liz and Audrey Gluck.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Westerville was the setting on June 21, 1959, as Mr. Gluck and the former Doris Shoaf were united in marriage. The couple are members of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Gluck was employed by Boardman Local Schools as a first-grade teacher at the Market Street School prior to retiring in 1999. She is a substitute teacher at the school and is a member of the Mahoning Retired Teachers Association.
Mr. Gluck served with the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1962 and spent 13 months at the Kimpo Air Base in Seoul, South Korea. He retired in 1999 as an insurance agent with L. Calvin Jones and Co. in Canfield and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Youngstown.
