Deemers to mark 50th anniversary at open house

NEW MIDDLETOWN — The family of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis L. Deemer will host a picnic and open house celebration in honor of the couple as they mark their 50th wedding anniversary.

The festivities will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 at their home, at 11562 Rapp Road.

Invitations for the event will be extended by their children and their spouses, Kathy and Dave Dickey and Sherry and Mike Magliocca, all of New Springfield; and Dennis and Roseanne Deemer, Daniel and Kimberly Deemer, and Steve and Dana Deemer, all of New Middletown. Completing the family are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The former K. Joanne Beard and Mr. Deemer were united in marriage on Aug. 8, 1959, at Paradise Lutheran Church in Canfield.

Mrs. Deemer was employed by Home Savings and Loan in Youngstown and retired in 2006. She is a former 4-H adviser.

Mr. Deemer retired in 2005 as a field mower from Vic Nor Farms in Connoquenessing, Pa.
