Census to lead Valley topics on Sunday show


YOUNGSTOWN — WFMJ’s “Community Connection” has a full slate of guests on the program at 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Channel 21.

The U.S. Census will soon make inroads into our community to begin the process of taking a count of every person. Richelle Taylor and Clyde Kemp Jr. of the U.S. Census will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to detail the process, discuss employment opportunities and inform the community on what the census does.

The Big Reach will have its annual “Back to School Giveaway,” and the Rev. Scott Lewis will discuss the registration process of the giveaway and how parents and caregivers can involve their children.

The Jefferson Township Fair will begin Tuesday; fair chairman Charlie McKnight will discuss the free fair and its impact on the Pennsylvania community.

Jim Liguori, chief operating officer of KFC Morgan Foods Inc., and Anna Fitzgerald, sister of Joe Kaluza, will showcase the “Joe Kaluza Motorcycle Run” fundraiser to encourage the community to support the event to help the Kaluza family build a new home.

Former Ohio State Trooper Jerry Thompson has turned entrepreneur and will show his new beverage, “Vocal T,” a drink that was developed to sooth, refresh and restore the voice.
