YOUNGSTOWN — New Covenant Worship Center was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008, as Lauren Balestrino, of 7210 Elmland Ave. Poland, and John Waugh, of 360 Brandon Ave., Struthers, were united in marriage by the Rev. Pamela Shipsky.

The daughter of Larry and Suzanne Balestrino, also of the Poland address, and son of Ron and Lorna Waugh, 4825 Whinnery Road, Winona, were honored at a reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield and departed for a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live in Struthers.

The bride wore a satin strapless gown designed with a princess silhouette and wrap bodice. It featured a beaded split-front skirt.

Her cousin, Logan Balestrino, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were her sisters, Kaileen and Spencer Balestrino; the groom’s sister, Jennifer Neapolitan; Catharine Rudawsky; and Tracy Prelog. They wore burgundy gowns. Flower girls were the bride’s sisters, Tara and Victoria Balestrino.

Matthew Rudawsky was best man, and groomsmen were Neal Balestrino, the bride’s brother, Bryan Bartels, James Ling, Justin Quinn and the groom’s brother-in-law, William Neapolitan. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Michael and Reggie Balestrino.

Mrs. Waugh holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Kent State University and is assistant manager at Friendly’s in Poland.

Her husband graduated from KSU with a bachelor’s degree in general science and is a driver/messenger with Brinks Security in Boardman.
