Sale Saturday to benefit Canine Crusaders

YOUNGSTOWN —Thirty vendors will sell items from the trunks of their cars at the Canine Crusaders Trunk-n-Treasure Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Rd.

Merchandise for sale will include typical garage sale items, as well as homemade dog treats and collars, cleaning products and jewelry. Howling Hound Karaoke will provide music. The event will also feature a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, concession stand and a prize wheel featuring baked goods. Dogs in need of a home will greet shoppers.

Canine Crusaders is a Youngstown-based dog rescue. Over the last two years, Canine Crusaders has rescued more than 500 dogs from being euthanized. Paulina and Neal McCallum founded the non-profit organization in 2007.
