Pa. turnpike will close for six hours this weekend
NEW STANTON, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike says an eight-mile stretch of the road will be closed in both directions for six hours this weekend.
The closing will be between the Irwin (Exit 67) and New Stanton (Exit 75) interchanges while crews set concrete beams for an overhead bridge.
Beginning at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, eastbound motorists will be detoured off the road at Irwin and take Route 30 East to Toll Road 66 Sou8th to Exit 0B, and can re-enter the turnpike at Irwin. Westbound drivers will exit at New Stanton, take Route 119 North to Toll 66 North to Route 30 West (Exit 6) and can re-enter the turnpike at Irwin.
