Greenville area man killed while driving ATV

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Gary E. Hawks, 49, of Kennard Road was killed while operating an all-terrain vehicle in an old sand pit just west of Loper Road on Beatty School Road.

State police said the accident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. Monday when Hawks attempted to descend a steep hill.
