Glidden-Kovach engagement is being announced

Heather Marie Glidden, a daughter of Dennis and Sheri Glidden of San Diego, and George Charles Kovach Jr., a son of Evelyn M. Kovach, of 2959 Holyoke Drive, Poland, are engaged, their parents announce.

The couple have planned a wedding for 5 p.m. Aug. 1 at Coronado Island at San Diego. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for a reception to follow at NAS North Island Club, San Diego.

Miss Glidden graduated cum laude from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Calif., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Mr. Kovach, also the son of the late George C. Kovach Sr., earned a bachelor’s degree in IT/computer networking from Youngstown State University, and graduated as a pro pilot from Pan International Flight Academy in Beaver Falls, Pa. He is an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration in San Diego.
