July 4
Drug paraphernalia: Police charged a 21-year-old Avella, Pa. man with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse at East Main Street and the square after finding two glass pipes and a makeshift pipe, all with marijuana residue and two Adderall pills.
Drug abuse, paraphernalia: Police charged a 28-year-old West Newton, Pa., man with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at East Main Street and CVS Pharmacy; and the passenger in his car, a 23-year-old Newton, Pa., man with possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse. Police found a syringe and needle, a shoe lace and plastic spoon, metal spoon, plastic spoon, foil with burned ends, two cut straws and a syringe with Soboxone in it.
Passing bad checks: A resident of the 6000 block of Fairgrounds Boulevard reported receiving a bad check for hall rental at the Dublin Grange building.

Carrying concealed weapon: Police arrested a 42-year-old Deerfield man for carrying a concealed weapon, a 9mm handgun at Shields Road and Canfield-Niles Road.

Unauthorized purchase: An individual may have obtained a Pseudoephedrine product illegally at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main Street.

Breaking and entering: Green Leaf, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road was broken into and shrubs were stolen.
Theft: A Visa debit card was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of White Beach Lane.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.
Theft: Pocket knives and a portable CD player were stolen from an auto in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.
Theft: Auto parts were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 3000 block of New Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was dented in the parking lot at apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A man was arrested for taking trees at Green Leaf Landscaping, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Explosive device: A drain cleaner bomb was set off by unknown juveniles at a home in the 3000 block of Sandalwood Lane.
Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $20 bill was recovered at Uni-Mart, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were reported on a Visa credit card by a man from a home in the 6000 block of Ridgeview Ave.
Theft: A woman was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: A fraudulent withdrawal of $9.95 was made by debit card on a bank account at a home in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: $31 in fuel was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Theft: A purse was taken from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A garage door remote was stolen from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Crossing.
Theft: Two men stole a half pitcher of beer off an outdoor table at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Boulevard, driving off in their vehicle with the beer.

Theft: A cell phone and iPod were stolen from a vehicle at Rottelli’s, 5533 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Chase bank account was accessed and $650 stolen from it at a home in the 200 block of N. Edgehill Ave.
Burglary: A home in the 90 block of S. Raccoon Road was entered and dresser drawers in a bedroom were ransacked and change was taken from a dish.
Breaking and entering: A weed edger and a chain saw were stolen from a shed at a home in the 4000 block of Warwick South.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a shopping cart at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: An unauthorized charge of $72.21 was made on the Internet to a bank account at a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.
Criminal trespass: A man was arrested for criminal trespassing at Wal-Mart.
Theft: Fuel was stolen from a vehicle at Wendy’s, 5551 Interstate Boulevard.
Theft: A man was arrested and released on a summons for stealing 12 DVDs at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A window to a van was broken at a home in the 2000 block of Woodland Trace.
Theft: A man was arrested for theft of 15 packages of varied counts of Prilosec worth $299.03, and fled police in his vehicle before crashing and being taken to the hospital.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: $945 was mailed for a handgun in an Internet purchase but the gun was never received at a home in the 100 block of Atlanta Ave.
Theft: Cash was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.
Theft: An ex-employee stole a computer at Bits, Bytes and Pieces, 5462 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Damage was reported to the building at Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A house was entered and several items were taken, in the 6000 block of N. Turner Road, possibly by a relative with a key.
