In the cup! Area aces

Cheryl Martinko aced the 100-yard No. 16 at Tippecanoe County Club with a 7-wood. Witnesses were Richard Martinko, Karen Veri and Bill Veri.

Paul Mucci of Youngstown aced the 138-yard No. 3 hole at Pine Lakes Golf Club, using a 9-iron. His shot was witnessed by Tom McCarthy, Al Bachert, Ryan James and Rich Possert.

Joe Defalco of Niles scored a hole-in-one on the 171-yard No. 12 hole at Pine Lakes Golf Club. He used an 8-iron. The shot was witnessed by Tony Sandy and Lou Cali.

Pat Troll of North Lima aced the No. 7 hole at Beaver Creek Meadows. She used a 7-wood on the 175-yard hole. Witnesses were Elaine Kinkela, Peggy Potts and Heidi Sicafuse.

Dan Modorno of Boardman at Mill Creek course. Modorno aced the 149-yard, No. 3 hole with a 7-iron. The shot was witnessed by Willie Oddis. Modorno had a 78.

Duk Sik Lee of Canfield at Kensington Golf Club. He aced 147-yard. No. 11 hole with a No. 6 hybrid. Witnesses were Jason Lee and Bruce Hahn.

Jack Jones, former Boardman High teacher and baseball coach, played at Riverside course in Cambridge Springs, Pa. Jones aced the 145-yard, No. 3 hole with a 9-wood. Witnesses were Nick Granitto, Terry Jones and Pat Milano.
