SENIOR CITIZENS | Meetings, activities announced

AARP 4339

• Austintown Chapter 4339, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday for a picnic lunch at Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road. Cards and bingo will be played. Members are reminded to take a table service, a covered dish to share and wrapped bingo prizes. There will be no chapter meeting in August.

CMHS ’47ERS

• Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

CROATIAN PENSIONERS

• Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will meet at noon Thursday at Lodge 66 Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, following the 10:30 a.m. meeting of officers and trustees. Cards and bingo will be played.

GIRARD OLDTIMERS

• Girard OldTimers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Lamancusa Restaurant on Trumbull Road.

GOLDEN PILLARS

• An 11 a.m. Mass will precede the noon meeting of Golden Pillars on Tuesday at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church Social Hall, 356 Belle Vista Ave. Eleanor Hnat will preside, and bingo and cards will be played. Members are asked to take their own place setting.

J.C. PENNEY

• The annual picnic for J.C. Penney Retirees will be at noon Tuesday at the Ex-servicemen’s Pavilion in Boardman Park. Those attending should take a place setting and a dessert or covered dish to share.

KEENAGERS

• Members of Keenagers are going on a trip to Hartville on Wednesday.

LIBERTY 55-PLUS

• Liberty 55-Plus Seniors will meet for a catered picnic at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Church Hill Park. Members are asked to provide desserts. Hostesses will be Vi Castor, Mary Eck and Betty Fetchet. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and birthdays will be observed.

LOCAL 880

• UFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will not meet in July. The next meeting will be a catered picnic at 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at Boardman Park. There will be a raffle, prizes and bingo. Reservations are required by Aug. 7 by calling (330) 544-5656.

LOCAL 2243

• Retirees of Local 2243 USWA Copperweld Steel (S.O.A.R, 1-28-10) will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Local 1375 Union Hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The speaker will be David DeChristofaro, Trumbull County engineer.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Marilyn Boggs will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. • A meeting of OBES retirees will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eat’n Park on Market Street in Boardman. Lunch will follow. All OBES retirees are welcome.

ST. ANTHONY

• St. Anthony Club will have a picnic Tuesday at Tod Park in Girard. Coffee and donuts will be available at 10:30 a.m., and there will be a meal beginning at noon. The food committee will be Marian and Steve DeGenero, Mary Ann and John Julian, Tina Rothwell and Mike Sovik.

ST. BRENDAN

• St. Brendan 55-Plus Seniors will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Maxwell Hall with Ann Smith presiding. Reservations for the August brunch are $6. Cards and bingo will be played.

ST. CASIMIR

• St. Casey Seniors will have an indoor picnic lunch at noon Tuesday at the church social hall. Members are asked to take a casserole; rolls and beverages will be provided. Birthdays will be acknowledged, bingo will be played, and there will be a 50-50 raffle.

SEARS FRIENDSHIP

• Sears Friendship Group will meet at noon Monday at What’s Cookin’.
