Ohio woman writes her own obituary
CLEVELAND (AP) — An Ohio woman who lived a varied life reveals some of her “unmentionable adventures” in a self-written obituary that has become a popular Internet item.
Nancy Lee Hixson’s ode to what she called a life as “a teetotaling mother and an indifferent housekeeper” was written and edited over years. The death notice was published after her June 30 death of lymphoma at age 65. She had lived in Danville, northeast of Columbus.
Her family has received hundreds of e-mails and guest book comments from around the world in response to the death notice.
