LOCAL TOPICS ON TV Sunday programs

“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21): The Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority will celebrate 75 years this year. Don Emerson, executive director, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to reflect on the recent accomplishments of the housing authority.

Next, Millicent Counts, director of the United Methodist Community Center of Warren and Youngstown, who will retire this year, will talk about the changes and new development under her leadership.

The Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership will sponsor two enrollment fairs for Head Start registration; Kavon Wright will discuss information needed to enroll students and what parents will need.

Chinnella Cooper and the Rev. Dennis Garner of the Tabernacle Baptist Church will preview the national play “Tambourines to Clara,” coming to the church as a fundraiser for the van ministry.

Also, Mollie McGovern, host of “The Young in Youngstown,” will preview the upcoming broadcast on technology knowledge.
