COLUMBIANA — The Oneys, national recording artists, will be featured in the third concert in a five-event series at 7 p.m. July 19 at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road.

Healing drum circle

VILLA MARIA, Pa. — Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will hold a healing drum circle from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Facilitator Jason Lynn has been drumming for more than 20 years.

He studies and practices mystical, spiritual and therapeutic powers of rhythm. He teaches both conventional and metaphysical drumming.

There is no registration or fee required for this service but a donation of $7 will be accepted.

Follow the signs on the campus.

Weather permitting, the group will meet at the outside labyrinth or inclement weather, the gym.

Truckers 4 Jesus

GIRARD — The Truckers 4 Jesus ministry will present its first Jubilee for Jesus and Truckers’ Appreciation Day today at the Petro Truck Stop, exit 226 off Interstate 80 in Weathersfield Township.

Activities will begin at 11 a.m. with prayer, welcoming remarks and worship and continue until 6 p.m. Music will be provided by the Truckers 4 Jesus worship teams, His Music Connection and others.

There will also be speakers and opportunities for truckers and other individuals to share their music and testimonies.

Free hot dogs, water and other refreshments will be provided.

The weekend will continue with a special service on Sunday featuring a presentation by Warren resident Maxine Brown, who wrote the book “Standing Back and Watching God Work.”

Brown based the book on the experiences she and her family had as missionaries in Brazil, serving under the World Baptist Fellowship Mission.

Truckers 4 Jesus is an independent truckers ministry at the Petro Truck Stop.

Services are held in the truck stop theater at 9 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Thursdays.

Camp meeting

SEBRING —The 105th Sebring camp meeting, 895 McKinley Ave., began Thursday and will continue through July 19.

The purpose of the camp meeting is the promotion and spreading of God’s word in its entirety with an emphasis on the doctrine of “scriptural holiness.”

It is open to all denominations and ages.

First Friday Club

BOARDMAN — The Rev. Charles Bouchard of St. Louis will be the featured speaker when the First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown meets Aug. 6 at Antone’s Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St.

Father Bouchard’s topic will be morality.

The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $15.

Gospel play

YOUNGSTOWN — “Tambour-ines to Clara,” written and directed by Dr. Benney J. Pritchett, will be presented at 6 p.m. July 25 at the church.

The Gospel play is based on the life of Clara Ward and the Ward Singers in conjunction with Patricia Pritchett-Lewis of The Crystals, a Motown group of the 1960s.

The trustee and van ministry of the church is presenting the event.

Tickets are two for $40 or one for $25.

Flame fellowship

BOARDMAN — Greater Youngstown Chapter of Flame Fellowship, an interdenominational ministry, will meet July 20 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Township Park. Fellowship will be at 6:15 p.m. and the program at 7. Guest speaker will be George Perez.

Bike blessing

EAST PALESTINE — God’s Haven of Rest, 51966 state Route 14, will have a bike blessing at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

The service will be at 11 a.m. with music by the Parker Brothers and Lacey and a skit.

Pastoral anniversary

FARRELL, Pa. — The ninth anniversary of Pastor Keith W. Banks and Letitia Scott Banks, co-pastor, will be celebrated this weekend at Greater Pentecostal House of Prayer, 725 Fruit Ave.

A Gospel musical will be presented at 5 p.m. today with minister Jimmie Rodgers of Youngstown as master of ceremonies.

On Sunday, minister Henry Cheeks of Mount Zion Church of God in Christ in Columbus will speak at the 11 a.m. service and Dr. Jerome Jones, Calvary Ministries International in Youngstown, at 5 p.m.
