YOUNGSTOWN — One suspect is in custody and another is being sought in a Tuesday shooting in the 300 block of East Ravenwood Avenue that sent a 62-year-old man to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Police are seeking Keith Leon Wade, 20, of Hilton Avenue, in the shooting of Joseph McClendon, who remains in critical condition after being shot several times, said Capt. Kenneth Centorame, chief of detectives at the city police department.

Centorame asked for the public’s help in the apprehension, saying Wade is believed to be armed and dangerous, and people should call police with tips as to his whereabouts. Tipsters may call (330) 746-CLUE anonymously for a potential reward for information that leads to Wade’s capture and prosecution.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Wade, who is wanted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.

Already jailed in this case is Lorenzo Hilton Jr., 19, of East Judson Avenue, who was arrested Wednesday on charges of felonious assault, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary and will make his initial appearance today in municipal court.

Two men, one carrying a handgun and the other an assault rifle, entered the home, witnesses said. The rifleman shot McClendon, while his accomplice held a gun on the other occupants.
