Police say triple shooting in Columbus is a homicide-suicide

COLUMBUS (AP) — Investigators say a 62-year-old man in Columbus fatally shot two people and then killed himself.

Police say they found the bodies of Phillip Columbus and another man in a house on the city’s northeast side around 10:30 Thursday night.

Officers had been called to a home across the street where they found a woman on a side porch with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say 35-year-old Kimberly Miller had run for help.

According to police, Miller died at Ohio State University Medical Center just after 11:30 p.m.

Police say their investigation indicated that Phillip Columbus shot Miller and 32-year-old Shawn Rayburn and then committed suicide. They have not said anything about a possible motive.
