A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Hubbard and Liberty:

GIRARD

July 5

Burglary: Authorities responded to a break-in at a West Second Street apartment from which a flat-screen TV had been stolen. They also took into custody a male occupant after he admitted being wanted on a warrant from Austintown.

July 6

Criminal trespassing: A Girard man was charged after officers got a report of someone kicking in the rear door to an East Main Street residence. The man returned later, despite having been advised to stay away, a report said.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a shed in the 500 block of East Liberty Street before removing a leaf blower, a weed trimmer, a 21-inch snow blower and a five-gallon gas can.

Forgery: A Trumbull Avenue man discovered his signature had been forged on his vehicle title.

Theft: A $500, 26-inch mountain bike was stolen off of a front porch in the 100 block of West Wilson Avenue.

July 7

Vandalism: A Trumbull Avenue man saw that someone had cut and flattened all of the tires on his work truck.

Theft: Roughly $5,000 worth of jewelry, as well as $500, was stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Squaw Creek Drive.

HUBBARD

July 3

Criminal damaging: Eggs were thrown at a car in the 100 block of Fifth Avenue.

Theft: Wood was taken from a yard in the 100 block of Grandview Avenue.

July 4

Assault: A woman reported her sister was assaulted in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.

Theft: A purse was removed from a vehicle in the 100 block of Christian Avenue.

Criminal mischief: Someone tossed toilet paper at a home in the 600 block of Meadowland Drive.

July 5

Assault: A Fox Street man told police a neighbor had been stabbed. No other details were in the report.

Theft: A Henry Street woman reported someone improperly took possession of her computer and three library tapes.

July 6

Domestic violence: A Hubbard man was picked up after someone had reported hearing him threaten a female during an argument on Hager Street.

LIBERTY

July 2

Drugs: A 23-year-old Youngstown man was charged with possession of marijuana after police stopped his vehicle near Belmont Avenue for a broken windshield.

Drugs: A Youngstown man, 20, was arrested in the 2900 block of Northview Drive on one count of trafficking in drugs when, authorities said, a bag containing 12 individually wrapped bags of suspected marijuana were in his pocket. The man also was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown.

Theft: A trash can was taken from a driveway in the 1600 block of Keefer Road.

Criminal damaging: A juvenile kicked in and damaged a storm door to a home in the 2500 block of Cardinal Drive.

Vandalism: A large rock was used to destroy a window at a Logan Way gas station.

Drugs: Authorities investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 10 block of Trumbull Court and charged a Youngstown man, 27, with drug abuse. A bag of suspected marijuana was discovered, they said.

Theft: A 22-inch push mower and a license plate were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Mansell Drive.

July 3

Drugs: A car was pulled over near Hadley Avenue, where a Youngstown man, 35, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, and drug abuse, a misdemeanor. A police canine led to the discovery of 11 grams of suspected marijuana as well as a bag with nine individually packaged bags of suspected crack cocaine, a report said.

Drug paraphernalia: Police said a suspected crack pipe was discovered in a vehicle during a traffic stop on state Route 193, which led to a charge against a 23-year-old Girard woman.

Criminal damaging: A 2-foot-by-8-foot plate-glass window was shattered at a business in the 300 block of Church Hill Road.

July 4

Drugs: A Youngstown man, 21, who had been pulled over on state Route 193, faced a drug-abuse charge when, police said, a bag with 2 grams of suspected marijuana was found.

Theft: Someone stole a wooden picnic table belonging to a Belmont Avenue business.

Drugs: Officers checked a person near Motor Inn Drive who had caused a scene at a nearby motel, then issued a summons to a 38-year-old Youngstown woman on a drug-abuse charge. She removed a bag with suspected marijuana, a report showed.

July 5

Arrest: A traffic stop on state Route 304 resulted in the arrest of a Warren man, 36, wanted by the county on charges of burglary and domestic violence.

July 6

Arrest: Weathersfield police handed a 23-year-old Mineral Ridge man wanted on a warrant to Liberty authorities.

Aggravated menacing: A Vienna Avenue man alleged his former girlfriend, of Pittsburgh, made unwanted calls threatening to harm the accuser and certain family members.

Vandalism: Someone used a BB or pellet gun to shoot a window and cause an estimated $2,000 of damage at a building in the 4100 block of Logan Way.

Theft: Two Youngstown women, 23 and 31, were accused in a shoplifting situation at Dollar General, 4425 Logan Way, though no charges had been filed at the time of the report.

July 7

Arrest: A 22-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a probation-violation charge was taken into custody in the 1600 block of Motor Inn Drive.
