Theft suspect jailed after Walgreen’s robbery in Sharon

SHARON, Pa. — Police arrested a man in a robbery at Walgreen’s early this morning.

A man walked into the store on East State Street around 5:15 a.m. and stole an undisclosed amount of money and a pack of cigarettes at gunpoint, said police Chief Michael Menster.

The store clerk called 911, and a patrol officer spotted the suspect several blocks away, Menster said. He was caught after a foot chase.

Charged with robbery and resisting arrest is Silas Lee, 21, of Prospect Street in Sharon. He was arraigned later today and is in the Mercer County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond, Menster said.
