Ohio man gets 3-year prison term for shower videotaping

NORWALK, Ohio (AP) — A man in Ohio has been sentenced to three years in prison for secretly videotaping a 17-year-old female relative in the bathroom and shower.

Daniel Nunez, 36, was convicted in May on six counts of felony voyeurism and could have received up to six years.

The victim said in court Tuesday in northern Ohio that Nunez deserved to be punished. Through sobs, she told Judge James Conway of Huron County Common Pleas Court here that the case got her teased by classmates and that friends were called vampires for hanging out with her.

Nunez had claimed during trial that he recorded the girl because he believed she was cutting herself and possibly drinking her own blood. But prosecutors said he mixed the footage with commercial pornography on a videotape.
