2 sought in shooting

Officers were sent to a home in the 300 block of Ravenwood just after noon Tuesday. Officers were immediately approached by a young boy who said his father had been shot.

Witnesses inside the house told the officers that two men, one carrying a handgun and the other an assault rifle, came into the home. Witnesses said the man carrying the rifle shot the resident while the other man held a gun on the other occupants of the home.
Police were searching for the men with the help of a police dog.
Deal on electricity, gas
BOARDMAN — Boardman residents should keep an eye out for literature about a new utility program in the township that could result in lower rates.
A mailer from FirstEnergy Solutions should arrive today, and it will explain the program and give residents the option to opt out of the program, township officials said.
The program, which is 31 months long, allows the township to purchase electricity and natural gas on behalf of its residents at a lower rate than they could get on their own, said Jason Loree, township administrator. Residents with questions may contact FirstEnergy Solutions at (866) 636-3749 after the notice arrives.
